About Mahwah, NJ

Mahwah is the largest and most northern municipality in Bergen County, New Jersey, in terms of geographic area. The township had 25,890 people living there as of the 2010 US Census. On April 9, 1849, Hohokus Township was created from a portion of the former Franklin Township, and it eventually became the region that is today Mahwah (now Wyckoff). Despite being known as Hohokus Township, Orvil Township, Allendale, Upper Saddle River, and Ramsey were formed by annexing territory. Based on the results of a vote held that day, the region was replaced by Hohokus Township on November 7, 1944, and the Township of Mahwah was established by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. Mahwah was named the ninth greatest place to live in New Jersey by New Jersey Monthly magazine in its 2008 rankings of the state’s “Best Places to Live.”

Frequently Asked Questions About Automobile Accidents in Mahwah, New Jersey

What should I do if I was in a car accident?

How can I cover my medical expenses while awaiting a verdict in my automobile accident case or a jury trial?

In New Jersey, drivers must have personal injury protection as part of their own auto insurance policy. This insurance is “no-fault,” so you can submit a claim for benefits no matter who might be to blame for the accident. PIP coverage can assist in covering losses like medical costs and lost revenue from missed work. Additionally, you might be able to use your health insurance to get coverage for medical procedures.

What if I was involved in an automobile accident at work?

You may be eligible to file a claim for workers’ compensation payments from your employer if you were involved in a car accident that happened within the course and scope of your employment. Because workers’ compensation is a “no-fault” system, you may be eligible for benefits even if you contributed to the car accident that occurred while you were at work. In addition to filing a claim for workers’ compensation, you can also file a claim against anyone who contributed to the car accident. Following an automobile accident at work, The Epstein Law Firm can assist you in pursuing all possible channels for compensation.
