Barry D. Epstein was born in New York, New York, on October 27, 1940. After being admitted to the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Federal District Court for the State of New Jersey in October 1965, he has engaged in private practice with an emphasis in the areas of civil litigation.

During the past forty-eight years, he has represented various victims in matters including medical malpractice, products liability, and personal injury claims. He has also handled numerous real estate and business transactions and employment matters as they relate to litigation.

Mr. Epstein was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1971 and the United States Tax Court in 1983, the Third Court of Appeals in 2007 and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in 2012.

 

Mr. Epstein received his B.A. from Clark University in 1962, and his J.D. from Rutgers University in 1965. He has lectured on the following topics:

Mr. Epstein has been designated as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey since 1984, and formerly served as a panel arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the Bergen County District for Fee Arbitration.

He is a faculty member of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education of the State of New Jersey, served on the Supreme Court Committee on Differentiated Case Management and was liaison to the same committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He was appointed Master of the Pashman Inn Court of Bergen County for the 1990-92 course and has served as a guest lecturer at Rutgers University Law School, Newark, New Jersey, and Seton Hall University. Mr. Epstein has participated in numerous ICLE programs, most recently being the moderator/reporter of the annual Tort Law Conference from 2007 through 2018. In addition, he has obtained a number of awards in excess of $1,000,000 and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
