Vehicle Crash on Route 208 Leads to Occupant Injury and Fatality

The Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps confirmed on social media following that the driver of a vehicle involved in a crash on Route 208 in Hawthorne on Labor Day had died from their injuries. Another individual was taken to The Valley Hospital for treatment for injuries. The accident took place on Route 208 between Goffle Road in Hawthorne and Grandview Avenue in Wyckoff. A sedan was seen crashing into the trees along the highway shoulder. The accident left Route 208 southbound closed for several hours on Monday while authorities investigated and cleaned up the accident scene.
