A teenager from New Jersey has passed away following an accident on the Turnpike. The crash happened on Wednesday, June 24. Video from the scene shows a small black car flipped up on its hood, near a number of other damaged vehicles, with wreckage lying all around. The video also shows the moment of impact, when the car seemingly falls out of the sky and lands on the hood of another vehicle, before rolling off. The car was traveling down the turnpike when it went out of control and flew off of the roadway. It sailed over and came crashing down in the parking lot below. The teen who died, who was 18 years old, was a passenger in that vehicle. The driver was 22 years old, and there were two other people in the vehicle as well: One who was 14 and one who was 19. Reports show that they were all injured in the wreck, though they did survive it. The accident happened in the morning, as the young man who passed away showed up at the hospital right around noon. He had been taken to University Hospital, which is located in Newark, but the medical staff was not able to save his life and he was pronounced dead at that facility. It appears that at least two of the passengers did not have seat belts on during the crash. One was the 18-year-old, and the other was the 14-year-old. Both were thrown from the vehicle, and both were taken to the same hospital by helicopter. If you've suffered serious injuries or lost a loved one in a car accident, you must know what rights you have to seek compensation.
