New Jersey woman injured in accident on Route 31

A New Jersey crash on Route 31 left one person injured on Sept. 17. The other driver believed to be at fault received a citation, according to sources. The car accident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. near Mine Road in Hopewell Township. Reports say that a 50-year-old woman from Maple Shade was driving southbound on Route 31 when her 1998 Honda was struck by a car operated by a 74-year-old woman from Loch Arbor. The second vehicle had been trying to cross Route 31 westbound. The woman in the Honda suffered neck injuries, and she was transported to a local medical facility to receive treatment. Police cited the driver of the second vehicle for careless driving. Neither she nor her passenger reported any injuries. The police investigation into the accident was still underway at the time of reporting. An injury from a car crash can be debilitating in more ways than one.
