Driver tries to avoid a ticket, two generations of women pay the price

A woman's life story about living in, moving away and moving back to New Jersey has ended in a tragic car accident.

The woman, who had lived to be 60 years old, had moved back to New Jersey only two weeks ago. The woman originally spent her childhood and youth in New Jersey and later moved to New Mexico when she was married. Over the past forty years, the woman's family relocated back to the East coast and she eventually moved back to New Jersey to care for her 83-year-old mother. As part of the care she provided for her mother, the woman drove her mother to conduct errands-, which is when the tragic car accident occurred.

The woman and her mother were in their car at an intersection when they were involved in the car accident. The driver who caused the collision is a 29-year-old man. Prior to the car accident, the man made an illegal u-turn that was noticed by a local police officer. The police officer pursued the man, who then began to flee in his car and a chase ensued.

While the man was being chased, he was driving on the shoulder of the road and drove through a red light. As the man drove through the red light, the man collided with the woman's car. The collision caused the death of both the woman and her mother.

It is situations like this that often act as the basis for a wrongful death lawsuit. It isn't just the lost income or the funeral costs that the lawsuit provides compensation for. It is the loss of companionship, the loss of the every morning hello's and the every evening goodnight's.
