Accidents are a very common occurrence on the New Jersey Turnpike. The Turnpike is a busy roadway that has various types of vehicles traveling on it at any given time. Earlier this week a semi-truck was involved in an accident with a bus on the Turnpike. Truck accidents usually cause a great deal of personal injury and property damage. Fortunately in this accident, the personal injury that resulted from the accident was described as minor.
Although the personal injury incurred by the victims of the accident was minor, truck accidents require a great deal of attention from local emergency authorities to minimize the damage and the cost of replacing the vehicles is often high. The truck accident that recently happened on the Turnpike required both firefighters and rescue crew to assist with the accident.
The accident occurred when a semi-truck — often referred to as a tractor-trailer — collided with a bus at about 9:45 a.m. on Thursday morning. The bus was full of passengers, but it was reported that only minor injuries were suffered from the accident. The semi-truck’s trailer was empty and the cab of the semi-truck was damaged in the collision. It was not reported whether the driver of the semi-truck incurred any personal injuries from the accident.
An accident that involves minor injuries can still be very traumatic for the victims involved in the accident. Truck accidents can also cause personal injuries that are not immediately noticeable, such as whiplash or a spinal cord injury. Many times the victims of minor traffic accidents do not realize the harm they suffered until after the impact of the accident is over. An experienced attorney help victims involved in what may first appear to be minor car accidents receive compensation for their medical expenses, lost income and compensation for their injuries.
