James L. Fant was born in Hollywood, Florida in 1981. He was admitted to the New Jersey bar in 2009, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 2009, and the New York bar in 2010. Mr. Fant received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Boston University in 2003, and his J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2009. After graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk to The Honorable Jamie D. Happas, P.J.S.C., from 2009-2010.
Mr. Fant is a court certified mediator, who has successfully mediated Small Claims and Special Civil Part disputes.
While in law school, Mr. Fant was the Editor-in-Chief of the Seton Hall Circuit Review. His comment, Is Substantive Review Reasonable? An Analysis of Federal Sentencing in Light of Rita and Gall, 4 Seton Hall Cir. Rev. 447, was published in 2008.
